An Ace for the Boomer Generation


Take a look at this photo. Yeah, he's got less hair - and what's there is more gray than not. But good old John McEnroe regained his winning form this weekend, becoming the oldest player to win an ATP title -- singles or doubles -- in 30 years.

He was - in the day - my very favorite tennis player. He was always unpredicable - except in the fact that he usually won in an exciting match.

It's heartening to those of us in the same age bracket (he's now 47) - we needn't give up competing just because of a number on our driver's license!
