Some really good news

This was posted on Fox Sports not long ago - and confirmed on several other sites:

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester has been cleared by doctors to end chemotherapy.

"He's going to have one more treatment and then he's done," Boston manager Terry Francona said at baseball's winter meetings. "So, from where I sit, the meetings are already a success."

I'm sure it's insanely optimistic to think he might be back for Spring Training (his dad in an interview this weekend said that was "Jonathan's" hope) but what a great omen for the Sox and for next year. If he can face down cancer and come back triumph, well, there's no stopping us!
